So pretty much Kate's new favorite thing is putting on shoes. Travis videotaped it (on the list to the right) although it was staged (she isn't wearing socks). The other morning I was in the bathroom getting ready, and Kate brought me her shoe and said, "PLEASE!" I didn't really have time to put her shoes on just for her enjoyment, so I said, "Actually we have to have socks, too..." figuring that would discourage her and knowing that anyway all pairs of socks were out of her reach. She toddled out of the room muttering, "Socks too..." but to my amazement reappeared a moment later holding up a single sock and asking, "PLEASE!" I was surprised first of all that she'd even understood me and second that she'd actually found a sock! (I think it was a lone sock I'd tossed on the changing table conveniently within her reach.)
Also, the day after the Halloween party, she brought me her rubber-glove "chicken feet" we'd attached to her sneakers and sat down on the floor, lifted her foot and said, "Please!" I just have to laugh at her funny little shoe obsession.
AND... we are all set to MOVE this weekend! YA-HOOOOO!!! Kate, however, does not seem to be jumping on the bandwagon...

Halloween Party
So last night we attended our ward Halloween party. Kate impressed us by wearing her costume for a full three hours! She dressed as a chicken while we were the farmers. And yes that costume was homemade - no wisecracks please. We also took a video when we came home - it's at the top of the list pf videos on the right!
Hello! (Hello, hello, hello...)
Okay, so we did not mean for this to turn into a blog all about Kate, but it seems to be heading that way simply because no one else is saying anything!!! (That goes for the new myfamily.com too.) So in order to help us squash our egotism, please post your OWN photos, videos, events, news, stories, recipes, favorite colors, baby name suggestions, etc.
Um and also see the new video of Kate posted on the side.

The NEW Family Website!
So we decided MyFamily.com was expensive and losing popularity, and it doesn't really offer more than a basic blog would, so we thought we'd try this as another (*free*) alternative. Let's see how it survives... I'll have everyone added as "authors" so we'll all have equal abilities to add or change whatever we want. We can also post videos - ours were too big so I added them as links to Google videos on the list to the right. The only other thing is we don't categorize everything as "news," "pictures," "files," etc... Unless you put a label at the bottom. Which I'll try, and we can always delete later (I'll put another link-to-categories list on the right column.)
Summertime!
So I have reposted here the little collection of summer pictures I put on our own blog. Just in case you haven't seen these yet. Unfortunately I am a bit computer illiterate, so here we have a lovely collage of our summer! Our most eventful...event... was our trip to Utah, where we attended Travis's 10-year high school reunion, celebrated Kate's first birthday, ran a 10K race (Krista's first), took Krista's brother David to the MTC (he left for Taiwan 2 days ago!), attended Travis's brother Eric's wedding, and visited a petting zoo (where Kate rode her first pony), among other things! We also got to spend quality time with ALL of Kate's aunts and uncles and both sets of grandparents. It was a rare event to have everyone together at once! Of course more has happened since... April... when we last updated, but to be honest this kind of wore me out, so I'll be back later with more news!
The Newest Lundell
Here for your review is our first ultrasound picture. I'll see if I can include a few more from the most recent ultrasound (at 13 weeks).
Okay I hope you can see these... Pretty much the blob in the center is our baby! In the first picture, the little spot in front of the face is a hand (and you can kind of see it in the 3rd too). We can already tell that the profile is WAY different from Kate's 20-week ultrasound! Maybe they will look different?
